DAY RIDE IN YELLOWSTONE (Private)
Discover Yellowstone beyond the crowds—wild landscapes, epic views, and adventure on horseback!
Descripción del servicio
Escape the crowds and experience Yellowstone National Park the way it was meant to be seen—on horseback. This full-day adventure takes you deep into the park’s remote backcountry, far beyond the boardwalks and busy roads, for an unforgettable day immersed in towering forests, wide-open valleys, and crystal-clear rivers. With breathtaking vistas around every turn and a high chance of spotting wildlife along the trail, this ride is perfect for photographers, nature lovers, and adventure seekers alike. Riders will meet their guide at a designated trailhead between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., ready to saddle up and set out into the wild beauty of Yellowstone. From there, you’ll journey along winding rivers, climb forested ridges, and meander through alpine meadows—experiencing the grandeur of Yellowstone as only a horseback rider can. Around midday, we’ll stop by the river to enjoy a hearty sack lunch while the horses graze in a nearby meadow. After time to rest, explore, and take in the view, we’ll ride back to the trailhead, returning by late afternoon. Our ride locations vary depending on the season and trail conditions, and may include spectacular routes like Lamar Valley, Pebble Creek via the Stairway to Heaven trail, Slough Creek, Specimen Ridge, Yellowstone Canyon, and more. Each itinerary is tailored to your group’s interests and riding level, with total ride time ranging between 6 to 10+ hours. Lunches are freshly prepared and packed with care. Each includes a sandwich, homemade cookies, fresh fruit, trail mix or nuts, and a refreshing selection of drinks from our cooler—usually water, Gatorade, and soft drinks. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available upon request. All riders must be able to mount and dismount their horses without the use of a mounting block. We welcome all riding levels, ages 5 and up, and will thoughtfully match each guest to a horse based on age, weight, experience, and personality. A minimum of two participants is required for booking. For groups larger than 10, please call our office to arrange a custom ride. If your preferred date isn’t listed on our calendar, give us a call at (406) 838-2380—we’re happy to accommodate whenever possible. A 4% Montana resort tax is included in the trip cost; Montana does not charge sales tax.
